    Spyderco Chaparral Lightweight Prestige - the FRN model

    What a great, smallish slicer knife. Best of the FRN scale designs, excellent choice CTS-XHP steel blade, wonderful ergos with just right jimping at the finger choil and the thumb ramp. For such a thin knife, the nested steel liners give it a rigidity that you may not expect. There's a steel back spacer as well and they loan a sense of balance and quality to the product. I swapped the "Wire" pocket clip out for a spoon shaped titanium style, because it's my personal preference. Well Done!

    Great knife!

    I was looking for a summer EDC that wouldn’t remind me it’s there with every step because of weight. Stopped into the Spyderco retail store in Golden to see what was available and found this little beauty. I love how thin and lightweight it is. The regular Chaparral would be a great choice too but this lightweight version is even thinner. Also love the blade steel and, of course, Spyderco quality. No disappointments here.

    Great office knife.

    This is a great knife. Wonderful quality - you can feel when you open and close it. The grey plastic handles have a certain gentlemanly quality to them. Blade is super thin - so it isn't a hard work knife - but really a nice office knife. Not threatening, but you can get a good grip on it. I really like the ergonomics and the action - decent fidget knife for a back lock. Doesn't flick open but clicks so nice and can open and close with one hand for convenience.

    Excellent little Blade

    Wow, this was a great buy. The knife is super light, but you can feel the quality of the blade. Its a very good gemtlemans knife. Even though i have the original Chaparral, i like this one Better. Excellent buy.

    Chaparral FRN handle

    Wow, this is a very impressive knife. It makes the most of it’s size more than any Spyderco I have, and yet it is small in pocket. The knife and blade are very thin, great slicer, giving it the feel of a much larger knife, almost approaching the Para 3. Very intelligent design, my fav EDC.
