    Cheap & cheerful

    Cheap & cheerful. Usually Harris are good quality so I was surprised to see how cheap these are if you buy several at a time. The good news is that they are good at picking up a lot of treatment at one time (assuming it is a thin spirit based rather than the thicker types that are water based) so it is easy to cover a lot of wood quite quickly. The bad news is they moult like my Persian cat in a heatwave. They leave bristles everywhere, on the wood you just treated and in the kettle you poured the treatment into. Not sure how long they will last but at this rate not too long. However if you are one of the growing band of DIYers who throw a brush away rather than try to clean it then this may be for you.

    if it doesnt look like a harris and it doesnt feel a like harris its not a harris...check for authenticity.

    ended up in the bin within the hour, taking as much time to remove loose bristles from the painted area as it took to paint them in the first place. bought in the uk for some serious painting jobs in cyprus. i think the ones i bought were in harris product covers but were not harris brushes as i bought another harris basic brush from superhome centre in larnaca and this completed all of the painting i needed to do and is still useable for my next visit the product looking much better quality and with much better construction.
