    Wish I'd have known this 20 years ago!

    Excellent book! After being married almost 20 years, and finally hearing about these love languages from a Sunday school class at our church, I decided to go ahead and get the book. Both my hubby and I wish we'd known this stuff when we were first married. So much frustration and heartache could've been spared. But praise the Lord we didn't give up on each other and we both agree it's never too late to learn to speak each others language. Trust me, it works!! Love can be reborn!

    Core principal: if you are both genuinely trying to make each other happy, guess what? Everyone winds up happy! A brilliant, simple, effective book.

    I am a marriage and family therapist. If you are in any kind of relationship with anyone else, read this book. Trust me. The principals in here apply broadly, and to everyone (the author has published accompanying books which apply the principals to coworkers, kids, etc.). Filled with helpful ideas about communicating effectively and building strong relationships.

    Learn how to build a great relationship

    Great book. It really helps relationships in my opinion. If you understand how to show love to your family, spouse, friends, etc and you give them love in a way that they need it shown to them, your relationships will be much improved. Those that you love will feel more loved if you speak to them in their language.

    This book with the cooperation of your partner really helps to determine where you should concentrate your efforts to please both yourself and your partner. It really helps to speak the same language, and over the years, I have found that your needs do change. Taking the tests at the back of the book lends to some surprises.
