Set in a postwar 23rd century, sci-fi television series Babylon 5 (1994-1999) chronicled the intergalactic exploits of a diplomatic space station as it brokered peace among humans and aliens under the stewardship of commander John Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner). The innovative series garnered a devoted cult following over a five-year run that followed a singular story arc and spawned the five feature films collected here in this deluxe edition box set. Included are the pilot movie THE GATHERING (1993), the prequel IN THE BEGINNING (1998), THIRDSPACE (1998), RIVER OF SOULS (1998), and the concluding film A CALL TO ARMS (1999).

    Whats inside?

    This series is well thought out, the author states the full outline was in place before showing the pilot. Quite a few actors are famous for other films. Taking place in Earth's future as part way station, part united nations; Deep Space nine deals with the typical things different cultures run into when attempting to exist together. If you loved the original Star Trek series you are going to love this series. There is rumor of a full length, big budget, feature film starting in 2016. I cant wait

    Great Viewing Fun in one Package

    I have really enjoyed the Babylon series and look forward to viewing all of these movies. It was just impossible to pass up the opportunity to have all these pieces of the saga available in one set. of DVDs.

    The best Sci-Fi

    B5 is the best sci-fi show in my opinion and these extra movies add to the plot and keep the story going. Great watching - even my kids are hooked on this series now!

    mediocre movies....

    Fans of the B-5 show will watch the movies too. But the movies went similar to the show, slow at the beginning, good in the middle, and terrible at the end. #1 is slow & boring, 2 & 3 are okay, 4 is terrible, and I wonder what the writer was thinking when 5 was penned. This isn't a weekly cliffhanger, it's the end, what were you thinking??
