Great story and excellent cast.
I absolutely love this tale of Sherlock Holmes and the Hound Of The Baskervilles. Having been brought up on the old movies starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock and Nigel Bruce as the “bumbling” Dr Watson, it was somewhat refreshing to see a more up to date production. And when you add Richard Roxburgh, Ian Hart and Richard E Grant in the mix, you’re on to a winner.

A good creepy Christmas movie
Don't go thinking it follows the nook word for word. It is however a thrilling and creepy little Christmas mystery. Acting is top quality British talent. Richard Roxburgh was born to play Sherlock

A superb film in every respect
I was very pleased with this version of The Hound of The Baskervilles. All the actors are excellent, especially Richard E. Grant as Stapleton. The hound does look slightly CGI and you can tell it's not a 'real' creature but this doesn't have a negative effect on the film at all in my opinion. Before watching this film, I had in mind the two versions I already have from 1939 and 1959 and wondered how this one would compare to them. While the other two are undoubtedly classics (and tamer), this film is longer and has details in the story that aren't present in the other two. It too will become a classic over time, I feel.
