The Dio era.
This is one of the best rock recordings of all times. Dio and his crew didn't wait much to return with an even better record than Holy Diver. And you all know that record was excelent. On The Last In Line,the bass is immersive. The guitars are all over the songs,with riffs never repeated. The drums are powerfull and dominant. And crowning it all is the always powerfull and well educated voice of Mister Dio. What a great recording!!!! You should listen at it at a very high volume so the recording is better appreciated.
