HP 8500 OfficeJet Print Head Cartridge

Hit or miss
Black/Yellow print head throws an error and can't print! Ironically this was the only print head that I actually needed, the Cyan/Mag was just "good to have". So now I'm back to the original Black print head that doesn't make it past the first page, so I'm going to try the "hot water" fix and see what happens. I don't know if these "new" print heads were actually refurbished (if so I would not have bought them in the first place), but I am less than impressed with the quality. Although to the vendor's benefit the Cyan/Mag does actually work pretty well (not that I have tried it past just a couple of pages), hence the 3 stars instead of 1. Would be a good value if they had better quality control, but I won't waste my time again.

Working great so far

The print heads did not work
I installed these print heads in my HP Officejet Pro 8500A printer and the printer reports a problem with both new print heads. Since I opened the packages I assume I cannot return them. The package shows the correct part number, but the printer tells me to replace the print heads after the new ones are installed. The picture is from when I changed to these new print heads.

Great cartridges!

HP Print Head 940 leaked into the carton
The product arrived on time and works and at a great price. However, it had leaked ink out into the carton and stained my hands while installing it. Again, it works which is the major point. Bright Colors,Sharp Clean Printhead

Great product.

HP 940 Magenta/Cyan Printhead
I had my printer for(HP Officejet Pro 8500A) for over 5 years. This is the second time I have replaced this printhead. Strangely enough, I have never had to replace the black/yellow printhead. Don't buy off-markey cartridges or printheads -- buy only genuine, new, hp products. They're way too expensive, but at least they usually work.
It didn't work … the printer could not complete "align printheads". I resolved the problem by throwing the printer away and buying a new printer, rather than pursue the cost ineffective solution of replacing a bad printhead.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
