Took a chance and lost. Needs more than blade reinstalled to fix It.
Looks newish but as described, blade whaoff and not working and someone had tried to glue blades back on motor. But it was off when purchased. Put blade back on and motor makes a very bad noise and won't power up to full speed. Sounds like motor is badly worn and chatters and runs half or 2/3 speed. Will have to disassemble and try to oil motor perhaps to get it to run correctly.

A good, strong, portable fan that runs off of Ryobi 18v batteries. It can also run from grid power, which is nice, but that defeats the purpose of eliminating extension cords. I purchased this to remedy the summer heat while doing automotive repairs. Battery life seems good even with the single-stack batteries. One aspect which I don't like is that the fan power switch (a rotary mode selector) goes from off to high, then medium and low. But that's only a minor nuisance, and must be for a reason.

We love it!
Best of both worlds - perfect for taking out to the shed or ventilating a room in the house. Being able to run on a battery or plugged in makes it one of the most versatile tools ever. Wait, maybe it should be one of the most versatile small appliances!

Rattling fan
The fan has a rattle sound when running in it's normal position. That sound goes away when turned upside-down. I'll keep it as is, but a little disappointed with that rattle.

It works well and everything. Knew it didn't come with a battery. Didn't need it to. But it has a lot of scratches and scrapes on it. I don't remember it saying it had been heavily used.
