For those good old recipes lost to time.
This book is not for the casual cook that needs some recipe to slap together a dish ASAP :) It's good to do a bit of culinary archeology, look into other times, learn "how to" from scratch. Check it out to expand your cooking skills and learn some long forgotten recipes and kitchen "secrets"

Good find!
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for a cook who collects cookbooks. I've never heard her mention this book, so I'm hoping she doesn't already have it. She is also very interested in reading about history, and fact finding, so I'm hoping this will be a good gift for her!
