The bill includes many hugely influential musicians, including David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Madonna, Elton John, Neil Young, the Beach Boys, Paul McCartney, U2, The Who, Sting, Bryan Adams, and many more. This release features more than ten hours of performances and a documentary called FOOD, TRUCKS & ROCK N' ROLL. Proceeds earned from this release go to the Band Aid Trust, which provides food to hungry people in Africa.

    not my Generations woodstock / maybe close enough

    The price, $54 for a used DVD set of four, is much more than I normally like to spend. However, after watching the movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)' that led up to Queens Live Aid performance, I became motivated to put out the cash. And yes, the real-life Queen performance really did kick some butt at Live Aid! I was 24 back in 1985 and did see some of Live Aid on TV. Didn't really do much for me at the time. Watching the DVD now 34 years later is very entertaining. For example, I never was much into Madonna, but she did very well at Live Aid! The performances, sound, video etc are not perfect or whatever; yet somehow I am really happy with the DVD production / awesome! And there is something about seeing the musicians/celebrities when they were also younger (like me / the good old ...

    A great buy in entertainment from some artists that can never be replaced.

    Awesome collection of classic music, artists, and collaborations. Sound quality is better than expected and filming is excellent and from many different vantage points. Four discs so there are many hours of fine entertainment. Very well done.

    Capturing a Slice of Some of the Best Musical Artists Performing Their Best

    Even over 30 years later, this is an incredible day for music. The performances are phenomenal- among the best of many of America and the UK's most talented musicians at the time. The recording is very good for the time and the sound is good for the technology available at the time. Most of all, it's FUN! Watching the recordings of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" and "We Are the World", the colorful fashions of the time, so many classic stars in their early years ("Hello, Mullet Bono!"), everyone having a blast! Sit back and enjoy, whether it's a nostalgic journey or a discovery of the best bands and musical artists at their best!

    Great deal!

    I purchased this DVD after seeing movie with Rami malic doing Freddy Mercury for this concert,had to see it after Rami won his Oscar,he really did a fantastic job of Freddy! It's really amazing! Plus all the other artists, what a great deal! Shipping was good too! So thanks so very much!
