Good reliable item. My last one (identical) lasted 30 years!
Brand new and hard to find in "new old stock" condition. Good price. Postage almost as much as item!, but was from Malta. No complaints.

Works perfectly and a reasonable price.
The Hornby train set had not been used for many years and had been stored away with other forgotten toys. My husband came across it recently and decided to set up, but to his disappointment he found that the original controller and transformer wasn't working properly. We looked on Ebay and sent for this one. It works perfectly and he's well pleased with it.

Tough and durable controller
I have a 3 year old so we have a few crashes with our train. With the transformer that came with the hornby urban rambler kit we have, each crash or incident means a short period where the transformer won’t work. We assumed this was some kind of safety switch that meant a 5 minute cool down or something. To a 3 year old 5 minutes looking at your dad Fiddle with wires and resetting trains is a life time. So we upgraded to this and boy is it a step up. The train is ridiculously faster, which brings endless giggles to my son. It doesn’t short out and is just much more sturdy and robust. 5 stars

Don’t buy/bid for these controllers
Whilst I bought this in good faith, when I used them (I actually won two) they were both erratic not starting then went shooting off at full speed the when I turned them off the loco still did another half circuit. Live n learn.

Vintage item for my test-bench
Obviously somewhat dated item but functions well and will power my bench-test track and rolling road more than adequately.

Basic kit but works fine
I would prefer a central stop and rotate anti-clockwise for reverse and clockwise for forward. Otherwise, "does what it says on the tin"
