A decent work-around for old cases.
This leather replacement handle for guitar cases is a reasonable fix for those old guitar cases which have lost or broken handles of a certain type, and where the case hardware is intact and not removable. Pros: Attaches easily in seconds, looks age-appropriate for my '60s black guitar case, and is comfortable in the hand and feels substantial enough for moderate use, light gigging, etc. Reinforcements in wear areas are a smart design.
Cons: Part of its comfort comes from soft, pliable leather, and to its detriment, a stiffer material making the handle more rigid would be better. Also, the pre-punched buckle holes leave the handle's straps loose and add to the sense that it's not holding your prized guitar-in-case firmly enough. I quickly punched new holes which allow the adjustable buckled strap to grip the case's hardware more firmly, with less sway as you walk with it. Now I'm happy with it on the case of my '69 Gibson.
This is a good, comfortable, replacement strap for moderate duty players and light gigging. I wouldn't recommend it for touring pros doing heavy gigging and road travel.
