Good machine
It's a good machine but complicated you have look through the instruction book very carefully. An annoying feature I thought is that you can't eject a DVD from the remote you have to do it manually on the machine, mind you still have to go the machine to take the disc out anyway. I've got a smart TV So I'm pleased that the machine will play in HD. You can connect a HD camcorder to it and it will play it back in HD. So overall this a good machine.

A nice machine with great editing features.
I had an older Panasonic HDD/DVD Recorder model that eventually gave up after 10 years of solid service, so bought this upgrade. My only gripe is the inability to record directly from DTV to DVD or UPS, otherwise a great editing piece of kit. By linking up to a VHS player, I was able to convert all the old family videos to digital DVD.

This item has no marks or signs of previous use, and was very easy to set up, all cables appeared brand new, I shan't know much more till it has been used for a while, but picture quality is great, as is sound and dvd playback. as I said, it looks brand new, very pleased

easy to use and setup
not used all options but found it easy to understand and love the skip feature that gets past the adverts. muti presses to set up timer recording, would have been better just 1-2 key presses but other wise a good unit

Replacement for Older Recorder
Replacement for an older Panasonic HDD & DVD recorder which was showing its age. Smaller and lighter than the old machine. Pretty easy to set up and use. The dual tuners are useful if we want to record 2 programmes which overlap.

Excellent item. Not yet used all the functions. But fairly easy to understand. Best DVD player/recorder I have owned

Great quality Picture,easy to use Menu and has an auto broadcast/picture enhancer really makes a difference to old TV movies!

Nice unit, excellent picture, and easy to use.
Excellent picture quality, extremely responsive menu system. Such a shame it didn't have dedicated audio outs, it's HDMI or nothing, older units had Scart etc., still that's progress I guess. Overall a very nice unit, super quite as well. TV guide is easy to use when making recordings. Remote is very well designed and easy to use.

Excellent as long as you don't want to record from an external source
Panasonic seem to be the only company making DVD Recorders these days and this is an excellent product, especially if you have any DVD-RAM discs to use as you can play and record to them on this machine. My only problem is the inability to record from an external source (eg my Sky box) and that's the reason I've only given it four stars

Rare
I bought this to replace a DVD recorder that had died. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Good quality recording to HDD. Archiving to DVD took more time than I expected, but format conversion takes time. Not many of them for sale. If you want one grab it when you can.
