Product Information

The glitz, glamour, and unbridled decadence of the '80s are back in Yakuza 0. A prequel to the long-running series set in Japan's criminal underworld, this entry introduces mainstay protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and series regular Goro Majima as they fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka in their climb through the yakuza ranks. Along the way, players can interact with all the vices 1988's Japan had to offer: from discos and hostess clubs to classic SEGA arcades, there are tons of distractions to pursue in the richly detailed, neon-lit world. At it's heart, Yakuza 0 is a classic 3D brawler, where players roaming the streets of Tokyo or Osaka will encounter all manners of goons, thugs, hoodlums, and lowlifes to beat up. Featuring an engaging combat system allowing players to switch between three different fighting styles instantaneously, Yakuza 0 gives players fluid, free-flowing fights that are easily learned and a joy to master. Take combat up a notch by using environmental objects such as bicycles, sign posts, and car doors for bone-crunching combos and savage take-downs.

Yakuza's story is the star!
On the graphics, Yakuza is a mixed bag. Character renditions are great but the game world looks dated, last gen dated. However, the story is awesome. This is no kiddy tale. Its gritty, tough and well paced. There are many things to discover and accomplish. The game is not for every gamer. If you already appreciate the Yakuza series you'll absolutely love this game. Its well worth the price. Even if you don't, this game has many hours of enjoyment if you appreciate Japanese culture.

This game good
really tho it is. It’s engine is a bit dated seeing how it came out in early 2015 and westerners get to enjoy it two years later, but the story and side quests are compelling nonetheless. its a great place to start with the yakuza series, and with remakes on the way its no better time to start than now. i have over 200 hours on this game so its addicting to say the least

I have never played any of the games in the franchise till now i must say for a first timer this game is great has a deep story with fun fighting mechanics!! Only down side is the english sub-tittles but if you want a game with a great story it wont stop you from playing this is worth it!!

Wow! Disappointed I Never Gave This Series Attention!
Not gonna say much but even if for the sake of the story buy this game and give it a chance. Can't remember a first ch story begging so compelling. I'm already considering it a masterpiece as I've seen others do. Game is a blast.

Yakuza 0 is great!
The game is more story than game play. But the story is really good so it makes up for it. I love the side mini games, and the graphics are pretty sweet!
