Well made tough vest
I bought this vest with great enthusiasm ordering the 80 lbs version. I found that I have some work to do to use it at its max capacity, and that's expected. It's well made, with heavy stitching. The weight pockets are a little snug but with some shaking, the weight bags settle in place. The connecting straps that secure the front & back panels around body are stiff & a little hard to push thru rings to secure Velcro closure. Comfortable to wear, shoulders have some padding. Pockets placement allow even distribution of weight bags for balance. I'm 73 & use it for squatting, rehabbing after serous illness. It's safer for me than bar on my shoulders, balancingwise as I squat down. So far, I love it & expect years of use. It's surprising the difference in feel of concentrated weight around ... Looks good, but performs poorly.
It seems like the training vest was engineered without any actual field testing. Like if it was still in prototype stage and was decided it was good for the market. It doesn't grip your body enough and moves a lot when running, and even just a light jog. It is also bad for body weight exercises, when. When doing pull ups, the vest shoulder harness slides down and chokes you when you are in rest form. It also needs more padding on the shoulder harnesses since all the weight is on the shoulders. Overall pretty disappointed with the product, the only good thing I can say is that it is good quality in terms of materials and stitching.It seems like the training vest was engineered without any actual field testing. Product uses sandbags which can be a bit difficult to get in place within the vest...but once they are in...they are in. If you plan to change the weight from lighter to heavier or vice versa quite often...then maybe you should consider a weight vest that uses the solid bars of weight. If you don't mind the hassle of inserting the difficult to manipulate sandbags then this is definitely a high quality, bang for the buck weight vest. Removing the sandbags is quite easy...only the insertion is difficult based on the shared space within the vest pockets. I see no obvious flaws in construction and this vest is considerably lower in price than rival brands I have researched...especially in the 80 pound weight class. I am currently using it under the stress of 50-54 pounds and it feels strong ... The vest feels comfortable enough but leaves some red friction marks on my shoulders and neck area if not wearing a shirt. No big deal for me...but perhaps a rash guard shirt or a thicker shirt in general may alleviate the friction marks if that is a concern for the user. It is not something that bothers me personally...and considering the weight being used I expect this is going to occur with any weight vest.

Great deal. This vest is perfect for plyometric training or for squat training. My wife really likes it as its easy to put on and she can easily adjust the weight. I recommend it to anyone who is looking at this product.
