MTH Mels Diner- A Great Accessory ---with the qualiy build of a cheap Fortune Cookie
MTH Mels Diner-- fun and amusing item for larger sized Lionel train layouts. 50's Music, " Hot Wheel" type cars, hamburgers and girls on skates That is 100 percent American scene Ironically, the item is made and 100 percent assembled in China , so the quality its not great and will break very easily. The whole thing is all plastic and is obviously made from the lowest cost materials. So the product is a great idea but is very poorly executed by MTH company. A Classic Design
Teenage guys & gals of the 1950s cherish the memories of their hometown drive-in (by whatever name) as the social center of their universe. This action accessory has it all -- lights, '50s music, carhops on roller skates, and a moving classic car (my accessory came with a '57 Chevy Bel Air hardtop). There are some empty parking places for showing off vintage model cars or a Harley motorcycle. The ambiance is perfect for placing posed people figures hanging out and vying to be noticed. Mel's Drive-In is a friendly reminder that the "social media" site of that era was not the Internet but the local hamburger-fries-Coke place. Beautiful and very entertaining . ITS fully assembled only need is to wire , no bih deel . ITS perfect looking for my Lionel O scale diorama especially at night time lights are beautiful .
