This Product Works
I just finished using this 3M kit on our 2011 Toyota Avalon. The results are fabulous. Both headlights look brand new. You must follow the directions to achieve the best results but the time and effort are well worth it. Anyone complaining that this product does not produce the expected results is not following the directions exactly. It does work! Take your time, step back and take a breather, have everything you need at hand, and within about 2 hours your headlights will look like new.

Easy lens restoration with 3M 39008 kit
I watched the short video which explained step by step how to use this. It was easy. As a first timer, I wasn't sure when to go from one step to the next. I could have spent more time on each step but it turned out well. Not as good as new but much improved.

Good kit - could be made better by including a few cents worth of protective wax.
A good kit at a reasonable price that restores headlight lens clarity quite well. 3M recommends using a dime-sized amount of 3M synthetic wax as a protective after cleaning. You would think they would include a couple of dabs of protectant wax with the kit. Not so..

Really good product
I have this third light of my 1998 gmc sierra 1500 which it did had a great improvement. This third light is discontinue so I had no choice other than buy this product which really worked very good for me.

RESTORE YOUR HEADLIGHT AT ALMOST 95%
My kit was the one you use with a drill. I use instead the drill attachment, that comes with the Kit, it was use easy to do it that way, with drill its hard to control. I only use 4 golden Pad, 2 white pad, and the finishing pad and polish with the robing compound, the results where great

Go Slow - Get Great Results
Take your time, follow the instructions carefully, and you will be amazed at the results. I spent at least an hour per-headlight both in preparation with two layers of masking tape, and with the sanding/polishing process. This was on sixteen-year-old, heavily yellowed and clouded lenses. Once i felt I was finished with a step I would go ahead give it one or two more passes. What I removed looked like yellow, graded parmigiano cheese. It's a little scary because at one point in the process the lenses are completely opaque and frosty white, which is actually what you want to see. Then the final step is like magic and brings the lens back to a crystal clear state. I finished off the lenses with 3M Quick Headlight Clear Coat UV Protection Restoration. The difference was remarkable, I understand it lasts at least a year before they slowly begin to noticeably yellow again.
