Inspector Morse Still Brilliant
Well Sergeant Lewis we solved yet another case. Time for a pint on the river and another crossword. Who would have thought that this classic series would spurn two others? Always enjoyable and always entertaining for all the family.

Morse box set
The Morse series originally written by Colin Dexter turned into one of the outstanding detective dramas of modern times. With John Thaw in the lead role, he had to play a different character from the more rough and tumble Jack Regan from the Sweeney. Quality writing and great acting make these episodes great to watch, great television and a chance to see great acting.

Dated compared to Endeavour
The product is very good value! Having watched the Endeavour Series, we then wanted to revisit Morse. This has meant that we did not rate the earlier episodes of Morse, but it gets better as the stories progress. The main difference is production of the times and the subject content, so dated, which is really to be expected!

Dated Morse
This series is now very dated in every way. The scriptwriting leave big chunks out of the story line of the books so you don't know what's happening. Despite his popularity John Thaw was a wooden and quite limited actor. Lewis is even more limited and acts like a 6th former on his first school play. We watched a few episodes and ditched the rest. Standards in every aspect of drama have risen a great deal since Morse was produced.

GREAT SERIES
This was television drama at it's very best. Great acting with great storylines and some very nice music in background. I wanted to have my own copy of the series to watch over again.

How can you not love Morse? The DVDs work fine and are in a good case. I watch on my computer so the zone doesn't matter.

Was the exact item and lived up to expectations. It however was somewhat old and worn. All disks are working and fully functional.
