This was the colorful season that included such events as Seymour's departure to resume his headmaster position, Foggy's unexpected return, a wild game of Bicycle Polo, Smiler's search for a new home, and much more. The cast includes Peter Sallis, Bill Owen and Michael Aldridge.

Last of the Summerwine is my all-time-most-favoured show. I consider Roy Clarke the best comedy writer ever.

Last of the Summer Wine!
I am a fan and this is probably as good as it can get! Compo is at the top of his game! IMHO he drives the best of the series? I like the series after his death but I "Truly of the yard", pun intended, love the years and episodes with Compo! In fact I grew up with and over the years knew a heck of a lot of Compos!!!!!
