    A good find

    The book appears to be new, but the price was less than the usual purchase price. The book is famous and is often required reading in advanced high school English classes and college American literature or Black literature classes.

    It's BELOVED by the late Toni Morrison!! It won The Pulitzer Prize. Deservedly!!

    Toni Morrison wrote this book so of course it is incredible. I hate writing book reviews as I am always afraid I'll give something away. Art is subjective as well. What I love someone else might hate. I love Toni Morrison is this book is famous. I lent my copy out and of course it was never returned. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great story, great writing.

    Out of White America's comfort zone

    For White America, this book candidly explores the unknown world of what living as an enslaved person is like. Most White Americans have no idea of the struggles others go through. This book puts the problem squarely in front of us and sympathetically walks us through it.

    Once you read the book, you understand the title.

    It is a good look into the effect and affect slavery had on people from the master to the slave. The book also covers guilt, personal feelings, and interactions between people.
