Replacement KIdde CO detector purchase & install.
The unit I purchased replaced my previous KIdde CO detector when the old unit's 10-year life cycle expired. The old unit worked well over the period. I chose a replacement unit that was functionally similar to my old unit. The main feature of the replacement unit is a more detailed display. The unit came wrapped like a mummy in bubble wrap. I simply unplugged the old unit and plugged in the new unit and that was it. Good Ebayer, fast ship, nicely packaged, still sealed in its original blister pack. Five stars -- The way Ebay transactions are supposed to work.

Old but good.
Brand new but made in 2006. included battery was dead as it had a date of 2013 on it. The unit has a seven year life that starts when you initiate it, so I think it will be just fine.

Buy what you WANT AND what you NEED.
The Kid plug-in Carbon Monoxide detector with battery backup is the exact product in which I was interested. It does the job that it was purchased for and is the exact configuration that I wanted for my home. It has a 10 year warranty, which is better than the previous detector. After considerable research this device is the detector that works best for me. Glad I bought it, and, glad I bought it from eBay.

Well Engineered
The unit is engineered to be a plug in unit at a wall plug and it has a cord that allows it to be a plug in unit and placed on a shelf. It has a battery back up. It also has a slick slide out plastic piece that keeps the unit vertical when used with a wall plug in or, if extended farther, allows it to stand upright on a shelf.

easy to use, love the readout
I wasn't aware that the alarm came with a front readout in figures large enough to read without bending over with a magnitying glass. I feel secure with these. I have one in my living room and one in my bedroom.

great product and family safety first
I had one of these before, and the life span is only 10 years. It never went off which was a good thing , but I feel safe in having it just in case.

Excellent CO detector
This is our second of this brand/model CO detector. The first operated problem free for the seven year life span. Easy to operate and understand. It appeared to work consistently by showing the same low level of CO detection when we’d operate our oven or gas fireplace for long periods of time with a closed up house. And the biggest plus.... NO FALSE ALARMS, unlike any smoke detector I’ve tried.

Our Second One!
This is our second one. Great Carbon Monoxide Alarm. The previous one actually exceeded its expected life of seven years by several months. Good features. Battery backup.

Good value and product
This plug-in model works well for the area where we placed it. Easy to install and if power is loss it does have a battery back-up. The brand speaks for itself; well known for fire safety products.
