Great Book for Starting Artist!
I purchased this book years ago, then when my granddaughter came to visit she told me she was into art, and drawing. I showed her the book, and she loved it, so I purchased one for her and had it shipped to her! She was thrilled, and informed me that it had lots of great information in it that she doesn't get from her art school. Totally Awesome! Great Product, Great Value at a Great Price! My Granddaughter and I recommend this book to everyone starting to learn artistic drawing, and even the seasoned veteran Artist can surely Appreciate this and find much value within the pages of this book. Very Happy and Very Pleased by both of us!

serious book about drawing people correctly and convincingly
This book is a great reference for drawing the human figure along with anatomy close-ups and details. It is a must-have for anyone who wants to understand the complexity of drawing people and translate that into believable or stylistic work. Lots of practice drawing from this book will help log this info into memory which is critical for any serious artist. Hair and clothing styles change and some past styles are in the book (which often come back into fashion) but the overall face, hands, body etc will always be the same and represented perfectly throughout the book.

So much is covered in this compact volume
So much is covered in this small volume. The book is filled with so many drawings for visual references. The style of the drawings is simple for a comprehensive look at the figure, but the drawings have this cool dated look to them. I have been drawing all my life and know this will be a valuable reference for when I'm stuck while drawing the human form

great how to for the beginner and the advance artist
Had this once before its a great reference and Jack Hamm is a great artist who knows his stuff when it comes to drawing. Love this book.

A Classic must have.
A Classic. If you could have only one book about drawing the head and figure, this is the one to have. There is something for everyone to learn from a beginner to an expert.

Great anatomy book
Great book full of information and tips to figure drawing without the fluff. Highly recommend any of Hamm’s books
