Put em` on Everything!
I`ve been playing guitar for over 50 years now. i`ve tried every tuner imaginable. Once I got my first set of these, I knew I had found the Answer. They`re well made, affordable, and even made in the US, unlike most tuners. If your guitar tends to nosedive when you strap it on, these are the solution. They weigh less than most standard tuners and are very, very accurate. If you get the U.M.P. Mounting kit, you can put them on yourself without drilling any holes in about 25 minutes. I would recommend retightening the top nuts after 2 weeks. Like everything else, they`ll settle after some use. Excellent to install.
Everything is in a nice easy to install package. Con: The tuners do not line up correctly with the headstock on a Single Cut Santana Egyptian Gold PRS. To make them fit better is to fill the tuner holes, drill new tuner holes at different distances to the edge of the headstock so the amount of tuner buttons are at the proper height. Then all you'd have to do is refinish the exact matching paint, get Carlos's signature replaced along with all the other writing and you be all set!😵😕👎 Nope I'll live with the slight misalignment, enjoy the smooth tuning, and the locks. Great upgrade!
These are fantastic tuners and are worth every penny. Fit and finish is excellent, the UMPs eliminate the need to drill new holes and the install is easy. Excellent
The posts run a little shorter than most . The plate makes it a tighter fit but beats drilling new holes . Definitely give the guitar a more solid feel . Improves tuning stability , tone , and sustain. Have them on 3 of my guitars . So these are well built enuph and have a good rep. It fair. They are a bit smaller than i expected. Im putting them on a hagstrom with a bigsby. It has grover style regular tuners that work ok but with the bigsby its hard to string so thats why locking tuners. These are a tiny bit smaller in all directions than the stock ones so it will be a funny fit. The scewless system seems to be desighned with straight sided headstocks in mind so i probly cant use it on this guitar but it will work out well enuph cause i dont ever plan to sell this oneBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Locking Tuners--hold tune and easy string change
Great set of tuners have some closed locking hipshots on other guitars. These were easy to install on my epi lp --just take your time. Playing a new tune
I bought these to put on a 2013 Gibson LPJ to upgrade the stock Kluson style tuners. These are indeed a great upgrade! Much, much, much smoother than the factory tuners and a higher gear ratio. Also, they are not much heavier than the originals (I got the "open gear" variety). I didn't weigh them to say this, but the headstock does not droop or neck-dive, probably lighter than comparable Grover locking tuners. The included UMPs made installation a breeze, no holes to drill, just drop them in, tighten them up, and restring the guitar! Locking tuners make stringing the guitar so much easier, no string winder needed. My only problem is the shape of the buttons, strictly based on the way they look, non-traditional, no effect on how they work. So I bought a set of buttons shaped like the Grover buttons, "problem" solved. I cannot recommend these highly enough over the stock Gibson tuners! Great Tuners!
They are smooth, accurate and incredibly easy to install without having to drill a y holes into the headstock. Certainly a quality reasonably set of tuners that are reasonably priced. Accurate Tuning / Quick Restringing!
I hate the vintage "green" Kluson style tuners that came on my Gibson Les Paul. I wanted chrome, and I wanted locking, but I didn't want the big "kidney bean" shaped Grovers... These are very close to a "keystone" shape, and the keys can actually be swapped for a true vintage keystone shape, but the standard Hipshot keys look great. Functions great, very accurate tuning, and I use a clip-on TC Polytune that is very picky. Quick and easy string changes with the locking mechanism. Fit was perfect, I used the universal mounting plate, although I could have just mounted them into the bottom screw holes of the stock tuners. It looks great, and functions even better!

Beautiful Tuners!!! Blown Away!!!
These are the nicest most welled made tuners ive owned for the money. The UMP plate is a brilliant idea. I used these on a les paul kit and the holes where not pre drilled which for me not a big deal but with the mounting plate. I didn't have to worry about alignment and drilling and depth just bolt them on and perfect. If your replacing tuners on a guitar you already own no worry of matching up screw holes or plugging and redrilling. For around $40 you you can't get better working or looking tunners imo. I've bought decent no name locking tuners for half the price before which if you search and read and get lucky you get good ones but most are junk and who knows how long the good ones will last but I believe this tuners will last and work forever just blown away.
