Poor Quality Materials and Sloppy Stitching
Like so many customers, I have felt increasingly frustrated by the ever dwindling selections of clothing that is at least in some measure Made in America. When it comes to regular men's underwear, the selection has dropped to nearly nothing. One high good quality alternative is an old standby from Munsingwear, which makes all of their garments in Canada. Unfortunately, their "Kangaroo" briefs are just not for me. I had hoped that these, being of the style which I prefer, would be more to my liking, especially since they are commissioned by the United States Military. I assumed that anything made under their terms would definitely be durable, if not altogether fashionable. These briefs appear to be neither. Agreed, I have yet to wash them, and actually to try them on, but the fabric and waste band look to be so flimsy from the outset, and so rough textured, that I can hardly imagine the shrinkage and softening of a good wash doing them sufficient good to compensate for their apparent deficiencies. Furthermore, they suffer from sloppy and minimal stitching. All one really has to do is compare one of these briefs to a new and unwashed pair from, say, JC Penney's, or even one from the better lines of Hanes or Fruit of the Loom to see the difference. I will still toss them in the wash and see what happens, and I will brave to wear a pair too. If I find a significant improvement with the washing, or if the wearing of the thing proves the deficiencies in their appearance to be wholly misleading, then I promise to do the right thing, and revisit this review! In the meantime, Munsingwear, please please make a standard brief for the rest of us who desperately want to buy American/Canadian made skivvies!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
