Very moving story for all to enjoy
Star studded epic story directed by George Stevens depicting the life of Christ. One of the last major epic films made during the time of long running movies which included an intermission.

needs restoring.
I guess this will be the best transfer to blu-ray we will get for now untill they decide to restore this great film to it`s full glory, I have to say though that it is better than the other blu-ray out there. there`s not as much grain in this disc so more watchable, it`s not the ultimate high definition experience you`d expect for a film about the life of Jesus in fact I don`t believe it is the high definition version disc you get, I say that as with other ultimate high definition discs it comes up on screen saying it is but this disc does`nt. plus it does`nt have the overture etc.

Great for Easter
Very slow but beautifully shot. Max von Sydow was very good here, but the supposed BluRay conversion seems to have failed. Either that, or the disc wasn’t actually BluRay.

Mom's favorite holiday movie

The name says it all
One of the BEST BIBLICAL stories that was ever filmed. The graphics of blu-ray was great. If biblical films are one of your favorite types of movies then this movie is a MUST to have. The cast is absolutely GREAT.

Disc plays on region locked player locked to region B.
This disc plays on my region B Blu Ray player. Disc plays on locked region B player. This disc plays on Onkyo BD507 region B Blu Ray player. The movie is very good, it has not been released on region B Blu Ray, but it appeared that the disc has no region limitations even though it reads region A on the cover. Good find.

Greatest Story Ever Told blu-ray/dvd
No matter one’s religious beliefs, the story of Jesus Christ is truly the greatest story ever told. The perfect title for the life of a man who truly touched the world for better and forever. This movie version is spectacular and easily fits the description of a true epic. The color and overall picture clarity throughout the video are truly stunning. The length of the film is long but must be in order to touch on the many biblical episodes in the life of Christ. It’s truly a blu-ray/dvd worth buying, owning, and watching many times over.
