    An exquisite presentation of a science fiction classic

    I've always love 2001 A Space Odyssey from the first time I saw it at the Boyd Theater in Philadelphia in 1968. At the time it was considered the ultimate acid trip. Anyone from that era will know those times weren't all that special but I digress. The 4K presentation is magnificent in both sight and sound and it would more than likely astonish both Arthur C. Clarke and Stanley Kubrick for it's absolute beauty and McCluhanesque imagery so perfectly conveyed. It's astonishing from the first images of the Dawn of Man to the Birth of the Star Child at the conclusion. It's magnificent in every possible respect.

    Visually spectacular, narratively lacking

    In terms of visuals and atmosphere, 2001, which was made in the late 60s, mind you, is one of the most spectacular movies I've ever seen. In that regard, it truly deserves its iconic status. That being said, it doesn't have much in the way of narrative, so prepare to be bored and also increasingly confused toward the last quarter of the movie.

    Most thought-provoking SF ever

    THE science fiction movie, perhaps of all time. Seeing it in 4K restoration is almost like the first time in a Cinerama theater 45 years ago.

    Amazing product, the best hi-resolution presentation of '2001 A Space Odyssey' ever. Excellent packaging. A highly intriguing and intelligent contemporary classic sci-fi masterpiece from famed author Stanley Kubrick, still being talked about today.
