Product Information

A survival horror game with first-person shooter mechanics, ZombiU places gamers in a plague-ridden London. Acting as the player's survival kit, or "Bug-Out Bag" as Ubisoft calls it, the Wii U GamePad's screen is used to access first aid kits, tools, maps, and more. If a player dies he/she loses the survival kit as the character being controlled turns into a zombie forcing the game player to take control of a new character. In order to recover a survival kit, the user will have to hunt down a previous character and eliminate them. When connected online, a player's friends will be alerted to his/her death and can also attempt to kill his/her friend's former character and loot it. Another multiplayer feature is a survivor versus zombies mode. Using the Wii U GamePad one player can view the level from a top-down perspective where he/she can spawn enemies and set traps. The second player uses a Wii U Pro Controller or Wii Remote plus Nunchuk and tries to survive.

Nice use of the new gamepad
You take place as a survivor who isn't prepared for the apocalipse but still surived somehow. You get into someones hidey-hole an got instructed on how to be prepared. This where your story starts, get on your missions. I am always interested Nintendo products because they are so elegant and futuristic concepts. The only problem is that most 3rd parties can't get their heads around them so mostly the Nintendo products use the system well to bring an outstanding experience. So I was very curious how will this 3rd party launch title perform. It does it very well! All the elements are distributed between the TV and the gamepad so they get the most out of them. Controlling the character is surprisingly easy. Graphics and sounds are great and brings you the chills you wanted. If only the ... And text could be much much bigger so one can actually read what to do instead of guessing. BTW it has the Nintendo attitude in a way you don't die and loose all progress. When you die you got a new character and can kill your previous one who now is a zombie and has your stuff. Summary, I will play the hell out of this game during this pandemic.

Not my cup of tea
As soon as I put it on and had my first task. I didn't like it lol. When I researched shooting games this came up. Not what I expected, I just wanted to shoot things lol
