FAVORITE FROM THE 50'S
This film was an "eye opener" for me being a 13-year-old at the time of my first viewing! Dorothy Malone's character was "debauchery personified"! She"steals" the whole movie especially during her racy dance number while her father has a heart attack and dies. The contrast is riveting! Robert Stack, Lauren Bacall and Rock Hudson also head up this fantastic cast as we explore the decadence of oil money on this family. A great soap opera but one that iI think you will enjoy nonetheless. Only Malone now survives from this cast and I thank her for her talent. You will enjoy! Also the quality of this Criterion pressing is impressive and I especially enjoyed the fact that it fills my entire 16:9 ratio screen.
