Woods Walker's Companion
I did quite a bit of research on this watch before buying it. I am a former Marine and retired Naval Aviator and this is exactly the type of watch that matches my needs and personality. It has a Marine Corps look to it (Traverse Alpha Foliage) with the olive drab case and wrist band. I looks and feels "Marine Proof" as well. As a hunter and fly fisherman, I often park my vehicle and walk in to unfamiliar forests. The bread crumb feature is a key element of this watch to get me back to my vehicle. The ability to set POIs is also especially a nice feature for hunting and fishing, in order to return to places you want to remember. I am Medicare age, so I do not consider myself a techno-geek. However, I can figure out how to use this watch and the features in which I am most interested, and I would recommend this watch to any of the boomer generation who are looking for a hunting and fishing and hiking watch, with a mil spec look to it.

Hands down best “sports” watch.
Light weight, looks amazing, perfect size and all the functions I was looking for. I haven’t taken this watch off since it arrived. Perfect addition to my collection. All functions work perfectly. Works best after downloading the app to your smart phone. So many features I didn’t even know about such as text message alerts, call alerts and so on. Well made watch. It looks exactly like it should for what it was designed for. One and only complaint. The face is very dim. It’s hard to see unless the lighting is just right. I’ve tried the black background and the white. Same results. Seems like that would be a easy software up date as the watch is capable of being updated. I’d be happy to sacrifice a little battery life for some reasonable brightness. Still showing fully charged after 3 days of use. I have only used the gps function briefly but, I have gone through all the other function quite a bit so battery life is better than expected. Great military style band. No break in period. It's THE watch for anyone who likes to venture deeply into the woods and to safely return back.
It's exactly what I wanted and, if anything, exceeds my expectations. In particular, I really needed a GPS navigation device that could leave a breadcrumb trail for me as I like to strike off into the woods from any and all types of departure points. This device allows me to leave an important intersection on any trail and hedgehog thru the woods to a distant place and return to the exact place of my departure. The watch is very rugged and has been determined to be extremely reliable by marines and others (far more capable than I) to navigate freely within tree-covered wide -open spaces. Suunto Traverse Alpha (Foliage) Superb quality and excellent watch have had many wows and what kinda watch is that!
Well so far the watch is an amazing time peice and as far as look, build quality and in size comparison it weighs nothing! Also easy to use once I watched a short utube video on it. Ty again and Semper Fi

Comfortable & Practical for the Outdoorsman
One word summarizes this watch- AWESOME! I just received mine today and I'm highly impressed. I fancy myself a bit of a watch guy. Women are into shoes, kids are into toys, and I'm into watches. Prior to this watch I had a Casio G-Shock Rangeman. Although not as durable, the Suunto Traverse Alpha is head and shoulders above my old G-Shock. It's lighter and more comfortable on my wrist, and I love the textile wristband. This watch has a myriad of different functionalities which can be a tad overwhelming to learn. My advice? Take the time to review the operator's manual so you can learn how to operate the watch. Too many great things to list about this watch. In a nut shell- if you like hunting, fishing, backpacking, rock climbing and just about any other outdoor activity you can think of- THIS is the watch for you! Big size but worth to be!
My maximum size normally 45mm, the watch is 50mm, bit large for me even it's not like adult watch for kids. Menu on large screen easily access many functions, and buttons are very smooth better than Suunto core what I have. Nice watch for sure!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great ABC Watch
Great looking watch, lightweight and comfortable for all day wear. The operation is easy to understand and learn and all the functions (Compass, Altimeter and Barometer) are accurate. Looks Good!

Never been so happy with a watch
I have several watches for my work. My line of duty is tactical. This watch is more than I was expecting of a sport/stylish watch. It is nice to look at, very comfortable, feels durable, very good battery time and have all I need to make my life so much easier at work.
