Rec'd. Packaged well. Price was comparable to others. This movie is set in Pennsylvania in a small town and each year it is brought back out for viewing. Having never seen the entire film, it is a way for me to view it. It was also vintage, one of Steve McQueen's first adventure into acting. It holds value for me and happy to have won the auction. Many thanks.

It was scary back then and its still scary. But in a good way! lol. Enjoy with some popcorn, a frosty beverage and your favorite squeeze!
Great original Horror Movie with old time effects which I enjoy sometimes more than the PERFECT FAKE Computer graphics of today. While new films look great and all, they often lack story or the charm these older films often carry, even across so long a time. The story is excellent and has moments of pause and think, Not all action ALL the time, like so many films today, This is a classic horror film I loved when I was a child. I'm 50+ now and love it still! The graphics are typical of the earlier years of cinema but that, IMHO is what gives the film it's charm. Its more the story and the characters I like, than the special effects. This film was scary back then and its still scary today. But in a good way! lol. Exciting, colorful, hocky and great acting all at once. Love it.
The movie is a classic! Steve McQueen is great in it and such a kid. It's a stand alone movie that will have you yelling at the characters "Don't touch it!" Or "RUN!" very fun to watch in the dark. The art work on the package is very colorful and sets you up. It was considered a B movie at the time but has spawned a remake. It is still the best.

A very absorbing show, figuratively speaking
The beginning of the movie is quite intriguing. The special effects are credible in that when the blob makes a sneak attack by lurching upward to encase itself around the hand of the man who found it, you know you're in for a ride. The plot strays around a bit here and there, but the end of the movie leaves us on the edge of a cliff. The blob was "frozen" and flown to the arctic and dropped from an airplane, presumably to remain frozen until the end of time. I say it's time for a serious sequel. The blob is sure to thaw out any day now. How do we handle it then?The beginning of the movie is quite intriguing. A favorite late-night TV movie of my sister and me - we marveled over the 27 year old Steve McQueen in the role of a teenager! Great stuff! Got this for my sis, for Christmas, then decided to get one for myself.

Love This Movie
This is a great DVD for lovers of fifties movies. I'm glad it was made in color. Bought this to replace my old DVD which no longer played right, but I liked the picture on this one better.
