Underrated BLS release has some of their best songs
"Shot to Hell" gets a negative review on much of the internet, but i don't see why. This is one of the most diverse albums that Zakk Wylde has released. It has some really heavy numbers with some of his best riffs like "Faith is Blind" and the single "Concrete Jungle". On the other hand, there's the melodic and more laid back songs like "Blood is Thicker than Water" and "Lead Me to your Door".
The song "New Religion" exemplifies to me this album as a whole. It starts very mellow and hypnotizing with string-type keyboards, then transforms into a riff heavy metal classic. This is sort of the general feel of the album. Very hard hitting at times with crunchy riffs, but also lots of piano and keyboard type ballads.
A must for any Black Label Society fan, in my opinion 8/10.
