    Lab Girl

    It was scientific yet very readable. I live in Hawaii and enjoyed the fact that the author had also lived here. I will never look at a tree the same way they are quite wonderful and I hope mankind does not "do them in"

    Just read it!

    One of the best reads! I actually listened to this book , first. The content was so compelling and important that I had to get the book, just to be able to re- read and sometimes quote. The writer is a amazing on the level of B. Kingsolver . She needs to publish more, and I don't mean scientific research !

    Botanists may enjoy the detailed descriptions

    Recommend conditionally- if you are familiar with botany, you will learn myriad details about seeds and trees and the challenges research scientists have obtaining funding. The topics jump from biography to science lesson to research investigations.
