If you care about America and our history, this book full of TRUE EXPERIENCES is a must-read.
I first found and listened to this book on Audible dot com, which is how I do the vast majority of my "reading," due to time constraints. This book was so good that I wanted to actually buy the physical book to add to my library. So I bought this one on eBay.
The high-quality paperback came to me in pristine condition, and I'm thrilled to have it (thank you!). It is an important book because of (IMO) its fair and balanced treatment of both sides of early America, the settlers and the Indians, both sides of which suffered immensely as our young country was beginning to grow and flourish.
Putting time into perspective, the last of the actual children who were abducted by Indians and went to live amongst them died in 1950, a mere 10 years before I was born, in 1960. How profound the thought. My mother could have actually sat down and had a conversation with a real Indian abductee from the early west! Our country really is still that young. How I wish that I had majored in history in college and become a history teacher. So much of it is lacking in our schools.
Anyway, there you have my thoughts. I highly recommend this book and also accompanying books written by some of the Indian abductees themselves, whose names you will find in this book if you read it. (YES, BUY AND READ THIS, and this seller is GREAT - my book came early!) Thank you so much for my beautiful, important new book. 🥰
