Gormenghast
Not as good the books , but few screen versions rarely are , and like Lord Of The Rings it was always going to take something special to to tranlate from books to screen. I always wanted to see the books come to life and Gormenghast did just that . With a sterling cast , great sets ,and a young Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the scheming Steerpike it hit most of the right notes ,if not entirely getting Mervyn Peake's vision of the sprawling crumbling castle that is Gormenghast. Light instead of dark style, great cast wasted!

Good value
The DVD is in pefect condition. I missed the series when it was on TV 20 years ago. I have been reading the middle book of the trilogy but the DVD is far more concise and covers all three books. Well worth the money.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Funny, gory, thought-provoking and above all, weird

Great Adaptation of an Extraordinary Book
