Too dated to be believable.
The plots and scripts have dated very considerably. The actors did their best to bring the drama to life but the failed. I found the humour boring, naive and predictable. It worked far better in its original form: on the radio and mostly different actors.

Superb.
The Glums is just brilliant. The characters are hilarious. The cast are excellent. Jimmy Edwards as Pa Glum gives us the ultimate lesson in how not to be a good Husband. Ian Lavender is delightful as gormless Ron and the lovely Patricia Brake is spot on as Ron's Fiance Eth. No home should be without this Comedy Gem.

A good transfer from radio to t v screen.
Brings back many happy memories. Using the same scripts as the original radio episodes features in Take it from here they come to life well on the tv screen. Good casting in Patricia Brake and Ian Lavender as Eth and Ron.
