    The authors put a lot of smarts into this instructional series.

    I don't think there is a better series for learning to play piano. I went through all the adult books. They figure I'm on my way to explore with my new proficiency. The content is just so enjoyable. You never go wrong with these instructionals the only thing you need to add is your time to practice. Is there a six star rating??? There is a series for kids as well.

    I recommend for any one with basic knowledge in music who wants to study on his own

    I am 65,and havent played the piano from the age of 12.I accidently fell on alfred's book and found out that I rarely need a teacher-most of the time I manage to learn to play on my own'and in my pace,Even the piano teacher approved...

    Learn to play piano even as an adult with this book.
