They are remarkably stretchy and covered the couch better than expected. Although the foam rods were crushed in packing and were useless, so I cut 8 pieces od 20mm diameter dowel and used that to push down the back and sides of the seat to stretch over the cushions. All good now. I have 4 extra recliners with the same pattern now the entire set are covered the same.
