The castle is filled with a most bizarre group of characters who worship their master, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, played magnificently by the fabulously sexy Tim Curry, in leather jacket, pearls, fishnet stockings, and heavy makeup. Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) are forced to examine their own sexuality as the voluptuous doctor releases the hidden desires in each of them.Based on the stage musical by Richard O'Brien (who also appears in the film as Riff Raff), the film comes alive with unforgettable song-and-dance numbers that have come to represent the sexual liberation of the 1970s. The outstanding costuming and makeup, the terrific acting by a group of relative unknowns (Curry, O'Brien, Bostwick, Sarandon, Nell Campbell, Patricia Quinn, Meat Loaf), and the memorable songs ("Time Warp," "Sweet Transvestite") help make THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW one of the most bizarrely entertaining and satisfying musicals ever made. SHOCK TREATMENT: A young couple appear on a campy game show called "Marriage Maze," and the result is as bizarre as it is disastrous. For all you people who remember the midnight showings in the sixties for the midnight showing of the horror picture show, this is the DVD for you. Do you remember making toast, bringing the newspaper and the squirt guns? Do you remember your carload of friends in costume? This is the DVD that will take you back. You'll watch it over and over and relive those great memories. I was so happy when I saw this item for sale, and I knew I had to get it. It was even better when it came with the DVD "Shock Treatment". For those of you who have never seen it you will become a fan. This double DVD set will not disappoint and is a great addition to your already "wild" collection. Shock treatment... its not a sequal, its not a prequal its an equal!!! Shock treatment unfortunitaly has never steped out of the shadows of The Rocky Horror Picture show. But now with it's release on DvD may now become the cult classic RHPS has become. This set is fantastic because for the price of one you get both DvD's in a great set and includes literature for the Rocky Horror Picture show including Props and info about the actors. Sure to enjoy! Trust me I'm a doctor.Shock treatment... its not a sequal, its not a prequal its an equal!!! The Rocky Horror Picture Show/Shock Treatment
I absolutely love these movies and just had to add them to my DVD collection...Being the avid movie buff that I am...for those of you who simply adore "cult classics"...I'd recommend these films...I have a 17 years old, gothic teenage daughter who'd never seen them...who'll be attending a live performance of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" with friends and I simply felt compelled to purchase these for her to watch...so she wouldn't be caught "out of the loop"...LOL...She's got to learn those lines and songs!!! My son is a total "Rocky Horror Picture Show" 'Freak', and has been wanting to replace his original 'lost' set for some time. I was delighted to be able to get this for him. This is the greatest Cult Classic of all time, and a must see for anyone over 13, The Bizare Transvestiet aliens from The land of Transexual on the Planet of Transelvania are invaiding, Put on your panties and Garder belts and take in the floor show, it'll make you shiver with antisipa ---- tion!!!
