Unlike other purchaser said, these are indeed solid copper (the pivot post and spring are plated steel). Keep them away from solder, and make sure the jaws make good contact with the parts you solder, and they will work fine. Tips are a bit flimsy, but with care, they should last a while. Would like thicker stronger copper, for this price, but these must do, in today’s cheap world…
