Rebuild don't replace
Could not get my pool vac to move properly and cover the pool bottom regardless of the amount of valve adjustment to the vac hose line. Disassembly is easy with just a few basic tools. This kit is the heart of how the pool vac moves. The components I replaced had minimal wear. They didn't self destruct they just all started wearing out. With all the bearings getting sloppy it just didn't put the required movement into the arms and pads. This kit tightened up all the bearing fits and restored the proper movement. It cost a tenth or less of what a new vac would cost. I was able to adjust back the amount of flow and vacuum to the sweep hose and the pool vac is climbing walls and covering the entire pool bottom. Renew your pool cleane for a fraction of the cost of a new one
Your Hayward pool vac is constantly working to keep your water sparkling clear. However, it is literally eating itself alive as it does it, and the parts that wear out first are the turbine and A-Frame. Even if they appear OK, the constant wear increases the gap between the turbine and A-frame that generates the 'walking'... and soon your vac is not doing its proper job. It gets slower and slower, and maybe just turns in circles. For less than $30 delivered, this simple re-build kit restores your Hayward pool vac to like-new operation. It is a very quick and easy install, requiring only a screw driver and a small nut wrench to remove the walking "pods". You can complete the re-build in as little as 15 minutes (with practice!) and maybe 30 minutes on your first try. Definitely worth ... Your Hayward pool vac is constantly working to keep your water sparkling clear. Very Good Product
After I received this rebuild kit, I immediately went to work rebuilding my Hayward Navigator Pool Vacuum. Parts fit better then the old parts that were removed and the project took no time to complete. Big thumbs up and now my Navigator works like new again. If you are looking to refresh your Hayward Navigator Pool Vacuum, this will work wonders gor it. Quick and easy!!

I thought I might have to invest in an entire new pool vacuum when mine stopped moving. But once I took it apart, which wasn't hard using a Philips screwdriver, it was obvious to me that at least one of the bearing disks was bad and so was one of the wheels on the A-frame. I ordered this kit and it included all the parts I needed plus some extras in case I ever need them in the future. I probably spent about 30 minutes at the kitchen table putting it back together with the new parts. I crossed my fingers and as soon as I hooked up the vacuum, there it went! It's been cruising around the pool very well since then, although it does seem to have an affinity for the deep end and I might have to manually vacuum the shadow end. I don't think that's the kit's fault.I thought I might have to invest in an entire new pool vacuum when mine stopped moving. Much better than buying a new pool vac
The kit was easy to install on my 12-year old pool vac which was not running because of worn out bearings. The kit had all the needed parts and my pool vac now runs great, as good as new.
