TIGHTER AND BRIGHTER
This was an upgrade speaker in my Marshall JCM2000 DSL-401 combo. The stock Celestion "Gold" speaker was ok... but not great. Kinda muddy, scratchy....just not focused. I read up on a lot of different speaker options and saw a lot of good vibes for the Eminence speaker. I think most any of their many offerings would have been an improvement... but I found this one in 16ohm at a fantastic price, so I went with it. Superb construction, much beefier than the stock speaker. Sounds great!! That famed Marshall distortion is all there...tight and focused. Where it really helped was on the clean channel. Eliminates the fizz and scratch and adds some good bottom end. I'm happy with it so far....I bet it gets better as I break it in more. Smooth, dark tone that still cuts through
Great option if you are looking for a speaker that will smooth out a bright/fizzy amp. It's voiced somewhat like a Vintage 30, but with stronger low mids and less resonant peaks in the high end, but enough presence to still cut through the mixBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
