retro nes
Upon receiving my system I thought it nice and compact (5 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 1 1/2) with 2 controllers very much like the original ones. Using it has been somewhat frustrating sometimes. Game cartridges are hard to get in and getting them back out is VERY difficult. Sometimes I have to load cartridges multiple times before the work right. I hope that with time the pin clips will loosen up. During game play, it is GREAT. Price is VERY nice.

Get what you pay for.
Plugging this into an hd tv is a bad idea. Like watching analog tv on an hd, the quality suffers. The controllers are not very responsive. I bought replacements for 4.99 from GameStop. I'm currently waiting on a powered RCA to HDMI converter. I hope this will solve the graphical issues. If not I might change to a more expensive machine. Having said all of that, if you have a tube tv, this machine would be perfect.

A decent affordable option for NES and SNES
1st off, the product is actually great, when it works. It can sometimes prove difficult to get a cartridge to play. Once it does, however, everything is perfect. Great graphics and sounds. I would recommend buying original controllers, but the ones that come with the system are not too bad. For the price, its a pretty good deal.

Very good for the price
The price for this item is reasonable and it works well. The controllers are very flimsy. By the end of our first gaming session with it one controller was lagging and right arrow pad no longer worked. The upside is that regular NES controllers work with it. Overall I would purchase this again and while I waited for delivery I would go buy 2 old NES controllers from the local flea market.

Fun
This is a great product. It allows you to play old NES games without paying for an over-priced, malfunctioning old console. Old controllers are also compatible with the system. Great fun, and highly recommended. On the downside, removing game cartridges from the console can be unnecessarily difficult, and games need to be pulled in and out a few times before they decide to work properly. Even so, these problems can't stop the fun.

very easy to use. both systems right there. no need to switch wires and systems. its already hooked up, just flip a switch and your on another system. great idea. lightweight. PERFECT

Amazing product

Brings back my childhood
I bought this as a cheap alternative so my son could play Super Mario bros. and not have to worry about breaking my vintage NES deck. It works just like the original and I am considering getting the SNES & Sega versions as well!

A positive review.
This is a great product. works way better then an original Nintendo Entertainment System. The cartridges work great with out pushing the reset button like the original. The graphics look brighter for a small console. Actually better then then original.
