Point and shoot, or P&S, cameras are a great option for beginners because the photographer can choose whether to manually adjust the shutter speed, aperture, and other features. He can also choose to entrust these settings to the Leica camera. P&S devices allow the photographer the freedom to take many photos in quick succession, exploring different angles and compositions. All this can be done in a second, without taking the time to set up his shot manually.A perfect fit for amateur and experienced photographers alike, the Leica CM camera makes it easy to take pictures like a pro, no matter your level of experience. This camera has a built-in flash with an auto mode and red-eye reduction. The focus adjustment can be used in either manual or automatic modes with the high-quality 40mm f/2.4 Summarit lens. This component is identical to that which was used in the Leica Minilux. The CM's lenses use a diaphragm consisting of six blades. Optical coatings on the lenses improve photo quality and reduce glare.You can use the automatic zoom or manual settings for focal length with a range of 35mm to 70mm. The viewfinder has a 90% field coverage with a passive autofocus frame and a close-up correction frame to yield a lifelike image. Autofocus general focuses on the closest object visible within the frame.This camera has an electronic shutter control and center-weighted exposure metering, as well as a dual-mode auto-exposure. It is equipped with a 10-second self-timer delay, with the option of using a remote control. This feature is well-suited to the modern selfie. The cameras also house an electronic LCD display with adequate backlighting, which displays such features as battery levels.Originally released in 2004, this Leica camera was in production until 2006.
