Screamer 4X4 offers ten vehicles (some must be unlocked) from manufacturers like Jeep, Toyota, Mercedes, and Mitsubishi for off-road rally racing. Six unique areas contain over 60 courses for a wide range of driving styles. In addition to speed, Screamer 4X4 focuses on off-road elements like gravity, torque, grip, and an ability to find negotiable paths.<br><br>Features include authentic dashboards, analog and digital controls, dynamic weather conditions, vehicle damage, a "spotter" for road conditions, and thematic environments with a variety of geological and topographical obstacles to overcome. Bonus vehicles include Big Foot, the Toyota HiLux pickup, and a six-wheel Hungarian military vehicle (RABA). Single-player modes include Tutorial, Trophy, Championship, Pathfinder and Freestyle.<br><br>In the true spirit of rally racing, drivers compete against track checkpoints and the clock, not other on-track vehicles, though multiplayer modes on a LAN or the Internet support up to four racers at once. Multiplayer modes include Destruction, King of the Hill, First-to-Point, Catchup, and Off-Road Rally. No Internet-wide search engine for matches is provided, so competitors must be aware of a specific server IP address prior to logging on.
