Top Notch Fishing equipment
Fantastic casting reel. I have used bait-casting reels since I was 15. That is 40 years of usage. Now, Shimano is my mainstay instead of Abu Garcia. The SLX and Curado are my favorites. I have not been let down. They are easy to use as well as keeping up with a 10-hour day of fishing. I highly recommend this series of Shimano.

Great for flipping and pitching
Bought this for flipping, pitching and lighter punching. Overall is a great reel for the price and does a great job at this price point. For heavier applications I would recommend a bigger spool and heavier drag. On this reel it’s fairly easy to upgrade the drag washers.

Game Changer In The Fishing Relm
Let me just say, WOW! You can cast in the wind, light, medium, heavy lures with no backlash. The drag system is good enough to fight up to 8 lb large mouths with no problems. Don’t know about a 12 pounder, cause I haven’t caught one yet, lol but I’m trying to find one...

Best reel in my arsenal.
Granted I'm a newby bass fisherman. Most of my gear consists of Black Max and lower end Lews equipment. This Shimano reel clues you in to what the pros get to work with. This thing runs like butter and fits the palm beautifully. Though not a priority, the flat black and anodized blue color scheme look really nice.

Very nice reel
Can't go wrong with a Shimano reel. The price and quality of this brand made me buy another. I read a lot of reviews on this reel and felt for the price (knowing Shimano quality) I would give it a try. Very satisfied with this reel. the low profile sits nicely on the rod very pleased.

Quality starter
It casted well and setting it up was easy and adjusted drag settings down very quickly. The cost was a bit high for the very little difference in the DC version vs the standard SLX.

Great value
Can't go wrong with a Shimano reel. I have used Shimano reels almost exclusively the past 25 years. They have all been smooth and long lasting and this is no exception. Fantastic reel for the price. Love the long handle.

Just what I was looking for!
For the money this reel can’t be beat. Smooth as can be and once set to your cast zero back lashes. If I could afford 10 of these on my boat I would definitely have them.I’ve started the replacement already. Great reel for the buck$$$ I will definitely buy again.

The best casting reel I have ever used,time will tell how it will hold up.
A very smooth casting reel less chance of backlash with the breaking system . I now have two of these reels that I use nearly every day. A quality buy for the price.

Tiny
First time buying fishing gear online. I shouldn’t have done it. I’m sure it’s good it’s shimano but it so small. Have to wait till I try it. I wanted somthing Bigger. But I’m sure it will perform well.
