Recipes progress from simple to complex and from small dishes to large dishes, so your knowledge and skills will expand as you go. Just be sure to please Mama along the way! Cooking Mama: Cook Off for Wii challenges you to make it all! Players will watch their actions with the Wii remote change the realistic-looking food’s appearance. The Wii remote doubles as the ultimate cooking utensil, letting players take control of the game's cooking action, whether you’re chopping, grating, slicing, stirring, or rolling. Simply hold the remote and then use your hand to point the remote different directions and at different angles to complete each task. Mash potatoes through upright remote movements. Hold it lengthwise to fry an egg in a pan. The Wii remote gives you an experience that actually feels like you are cooking in Mama’s kitchen. Who knows, maybe you’ll even learn a cooking technique that you can apply in your own kitchen at home! Explore the controls of the Wii remote in practice mode first to learn how your movements affect what happens on the screen. Cooking Mama: Cook Off for Nintendo Wii debuts an all-new Cooking Challenge Mode that lets you and a friend or family member go head to head in the ultimate multiplayer cook off. In this mode, you will be tested to see who can cook the fastest with the fewest mistakes. Cooking Mama: Cook Off for Wii comes equipped with 10 different characters that are computer-controlled so you can play against different digital chefs to earn fun things for your Cooking Mama kitchen. While Cooking Mama: Cook Off is fictional, it does come complete with realistic graphics and effects to make you feel like you are actually cooking. Like real life, you can adjust your timing and make decisions about your cooking techniques based on what you see on the screen. Is the dish you are preparing in the game starting to burn up? Simply take it off the burner! Real-time cooking simulates the cooking of an actual meal, during which you will have to make snap decisions based upon your circumstances and the information provided. Mama will give your meals a grade herself. Earn bronze, silver, or gold medals based on the quality of your cooking. If you’re nervous about your cooking being judged, you can always refine your skills first in the practice mode.
