Excellent Cult Movie from the early 1970's !!
As a fan of fast car movies along with being a big music fan I picked up a copy of "Two-Lane Blacktop" when it came out on Blu-Ray. The movie is centered around 2 guys (James Taylor & Dennis Wilson) cruising the country looking for a race. Their 1955 Chevy is incredibly fast as Taylor is the driver and Wilson is the mechanic ! A 19 year old Laurie Bird plays the young girl that ends up tagging along with the boys as they head east across the country looking for a race. Warren Oates is excellent as G.T.O. driving a 1970 GTO with a 455 Ram Air motor that he is always bragging about ! The movie is dated but fun to watch seeing a young James Taylor & beach boy Dennis Wilson try their hand at an acting career. The Blu-Ray edition has excellent picture & sound quality in 5.1 surround sound ! Recommended !!

Good flick...
I like the movie because I used to drag race a 66 SS 396 Rat back in the 70s. It was pretty much the same. Tilt front end, Mr. Gasket Vertical Gate, 456 posi, fiberglass trunk and doors. Ladder bars, drive line loop, and real headers with cut outs welded on. Furthermore, my brother and I did race this dude in a ford gal from portland, or to Idaho for the drags. It was so much fun. Back in those days there were no cops so, you could blast down the road. So, in ending. This movie is kind of us back in the early 70s. Back when the world was less the BS of today and your ability to have fun wasn't impeded by f###ing GPS, and computers.

Hot Rods, Muscle Cars and Free Love in the 70’s. Shot on location across the country, it’s an interesting slice of life film.

Big Block 55 vs GTO Judge
I love 70's car movies, but I understand they arent mainstream. If your looking for an engaging story this may not be fore you, but if you love screaming engines, smoking tires and the like, then strap in and hold on for a great ride into the past of American car culture.

Exactly as advertised. It's hard to believe this movie isn't available for digital streaming or purchase. I wish I knew why not.
