Out of calibration
Great tool - it's a Starrett so that is not surprising. I was surprised how far it was out of calibration as received. I am engineer and understand how to do this. Cross vial not level
The main vial is adjustable so there were no issues there. However, the cross vial is 0.018/ft out. The bubble was always touching one line when checked on a precision granite block. Had to slowly remove metal from the high side to bring the cross vial into level. Wasted 45 minutes of my time fixing what was supposed to be a “NEW” level.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

very precise
For leveling a pool table, a regular carpenter's level is not precise enough. A machinist level is the only level sensitive enough for the job. The longer the better but a shorter one will work in conjunction with a long carpenter's level.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
