The woman had a daughter who was in college. Her daughter didn’t know she was homeless.
Because it is based on a true story. It tells how a woman is made to leave her home by her husband, because he divorces her for a younger woman, It tells how she had to live in her car, how she educated herself, and got a good job and could afford a place to live, how she met a nice man. They fell in love, he helped her, eventually married her. It is a great movie.

This is one of my favorite christmas movies love Linda in this lifetime always has good christmas movies dvd worked it is used but still shows well look for this a long time and glad I found it

it should say "A" Home By Christmas, not just Home By Christmas
Always loved this movie on tv. Was so glad to get it in dvd. It's a great movie about never giving up during bad times and never looking down on people because you know nothing about their situation

great movie.good price.ienjoyed watching this again. I've seen this movie when it when it was on lifetime years ago. I recommend this movie. the characters are so good.

Entertaining and Heart warming
This is one of my favorite movies to watch during the Christmas season (or anytime for that matter). It is a story of tragedy to triumph, pain and perseverance. This movie is such an inspiration. Linda Hamilton was excellent in her portrayal of a woman who had (or at least thought she had) everything and lost it all. She did not realize that by losing what she had, there was something far better waiting —a man who accepted her for her and a true friend. Lesson learned: You never know what life may bring your way but if you keep moving forward, take one day at a time, keep your faith and never give up, all will turn our well in the end.

A tad bit more than I wanted to pay but it’s an older movie that’s not as easy to find. It’s an inspiring movie about picking up your feet & making things work for you - with a little help from friends you make along the way.

Love Linda Hamilton
While not entirely realistic to what it’s like to be homeless in this country, it does give a small window into that world. And it’s nice to see her in something besides the Terminator.
