Glenda Jackson at her best
Probably one of the best enactments of Queen Elizabeth's life I have ever seen and I have seen alot(big fan). The acting is high quality, the scenery ,the costumes, all top notch. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend it. Apparently historically accurate which is a plus but the acting is flawless.

STILL THE PINNACLE OF ELIZABETHAN PERIOD PIECES
Glenda Jackson's bold yet nuanced, brilliant portrayal of Gloriana was then and still is definitive. Historical accuracy is paramount throughout; primary and secondary sources shine like gems throughout and lend constant credibility. This may be fictionalized history, but it is undoubtably based on and guided by FACTS, a method seemingly out of fashion these days.
